Being Part of Firwood High

Staff were asked:

What does being part of Firwod Mean?

Having the opportunity to meet new colleagues and make good working relationships across the Trust allows me to upskill myself and learn and grow from other professionals across the Trust.

Everyone is a part of the same Firwood family.

Being able to work alongside inspirational leaders and a Trust that has a vision to improve the quality of provision for the most vulnerable children and young people in our community at all levels is a privilege.

I felt uplifted after the Trust Collaboration Days training, working at Firwood, I always make a conscious effort to return to work and put into practice what we heard from the guest speaker.

The Firwood family has made school collaboration and sharing of knowledge and expertise a lot easier and accessible.

I am very proud to be a member of Firwood, it is a fantastic school and I hope to work here for many years to come.

I very much feel well supported and looking forward to what the future may hold at Firwood

Firwood seems to grow in both strength and qualities each year. It is exciting to see how far it has come and I am looking forward to see what the future holds.

I always feel I can talk to a member of SLT about anything and also across the wider Firwood Leadership Team

I have the opportunity to progress in different areas whilst at Firwood indeed working alongside colleagues I have been able to develop my own leadership styles.

My career pathway has been supported by my school, Firwood has supported me in my future.

I have had opportunities to spread the work of Firwood to the wider community

Our young people benefit from the vast skill set that exists within Firwood and we can share these skills to the benefit of all our young people.

I feel the staff in Firwood and the wider Trust are role models to our children and young people.

Our school strap lines say exactly what we aspire to do and achieve…
